Hibs continued in their pioneering ways (having recently been the first in Scotland to feature sponsors' names on shirts, and soon to be the first with undersoil heating), by signing this Norwegian duo in 1978. Refvik in particular was a big hit with the fans, but the game wasn't set up for foreign recruitment in those days, and the pair eventually had to give up waiting for work permits and go home. During their time at Easter Road they were actually playing as amateurs.
